![]() ![]() Talk about confusing to someone wanting to switch channels by calling a channel an account!!! And developers, for whatever reason, seem to make mistakes like this ALL THE TIME. A channel is a grouping of videos under a single account. Terrible!!! An account refers to general access to software attached to an individual users email address. But then, to switch views between channels within your account, they give you a button that says "Change Accounts" or similar. This is so you can group your videos for different markets - a personal hobby, a business venture, and/or a band. Within this account, you can have multiple channels. ![]() They allow you to set up an account under an email address. I have bought 6 of their software packages even when other free ones are available - because they are so intuitive. There is one company that has managed to consistently produce software that I can use productively, instantly, without a manual, without working through tutorial videos, or anything - NCH software. So, when I have a choice, I reject software IMMEDIATELY if it isn't intuitive from the user interface or after a simple, short tutorial to define overall process. I have to say, I'm getting pretty disillusioned with systems right now. Or they leave out the overall concept of what you are doing, use imprecise, confusing language. Stuff is left out in the Help, important concepts are missing that the developers assumed everyone would know. But I'm by no means illiterate when it comes to using or even designing software. In recent years I've become more of a user. Why didn't they tell me a basic thing like that? Isn't that something the average user, designing a book would expect to see - the cover they uploaded appearing in the book during design?Īnd by the way, I'm not a Luddite - I am former computer programmer, Masters degree in Information Systems management, MCSD certified, and I have taught VB, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, ASP.net, HTML, SQL Server, Access, and Visio and more. I call technical support and they say "Don't worry about it, the cover will appear when it's put into the Kindle store". I just published a Kindle book and when it came to my Kindle, the cover was generic, not the one I uploaded. They don't test it first - just send it out and let the help desk requests flow in. Or they release a new system and it takes an act of Congress to learn it and its confusing. I want to do a simple task, but someone has moved my cheese without telling anyone. And I run into situations like above constantly. I interact with at least two dozen applications in my full time job as a remote knowledge worker. This is a rare situation when I get to talk to an actual developer. Pro hint: guitarpro defaults to A4 paper size, so be sure to change that to letter if you’re in the US.Ĭlick to expand.Stefan - thanks for responding. Downside is they don’t output charts how you like, it’s more of a lead sheet maker with chords above the measure, but you can do slash notation. GuitarPro is a good investment if you need to make complex charts as it cuts out most of the crap pop/rock musicians don’t need, and is very guitar oriented (bass guitars included), more intuitive than any other software if you’re only a bassist. The only downsides are it’s not really intended for complex song forms, lots of repeats and endings, etc., but at that point you’d be best off with a true arranging program. ![]() There are also thousands of free charts available in the iReal community, it’s a pretty great resource for $15 or whatever, even if you never use the incredibly flexible backing track capabilities. If I want to play with the backing tracks I just plug into my interface, any Bluetooth speaker, etc. ![]() There are instructions on how to load an Android emulator on a windows machine to run iReal on their website Windows | iReal Pro but I’ve never remotely felt the need. I’ve only ever used it on my iphone myself, it excels as a mobile app. Do you have an android phone? IReal pro is available for Android. ![]()
